Remember what Amalek did you the way, when ye came out of Egypt, as I went out to meet you on the road and in the rear overthrew all that were feeble after thee, when thou wast faint and weary, and he did not fear God (Deuteronomy 25 :17-18 KJV).
God reminded Israel as their enemies proceeded to attack them. Often seen those documentaries about the animal world is similar. The animal is predator stalking its prey, and in time to leap, the animal that is typically weak, lagging behind, is what gets the attack and serves as a meal.
We see the same similarity in the spiritual world. Be sober, be vigilant, because the devil, your adversary prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8 KJV).
The devil can not devour anyone. But who he bring? Surely that person is weak and has stayed behind. How so? Are those who have been strengthened in the presence of God. Just pray, read the Bible or attend church. Also those who do not follow the herd and, critically, are separated.
Scripture warns us: the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may stand against the wiles of the devil. (Eph 6:10-11 KJV).
