This was the immediate action of Bartimaeus when he heard the call of Jesus. I've heard some stories that make no sense on this act it. But once God spoke to my heart that something would share.

Bartimaeus was blind beggar and was on the verge of the road when he heard of Jesus. And hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry and say, Jesus, Son of David have mercy on me! (Mark 10:47, KJV)

In the Holy Bible there are two great spiritual leaders who often speak in preaching. In the Old Testament, Moses and the New Testament, Paul. Two men widely used in the power of God. But what these men had in common, so as to be used by God?

Moses had his authority recognized and upheld by the Lord who has honored him before Aaron and Miriam when the legitimacy of his authority was challenged (Numbers 12.1-10). It was the great leader of Israel, spoke with God face to face (Exodus 33:11).

As the Apostle Paul, was raised to the third heaven and heard unspeakable words, that man is not permitted to speak (2 Corinthians 12:1-4). Even the Apostle Peter, who was given the order to shepherd the flock of Christ, even though he was confronted by Paul about their attitude to the Gentiles (Gal. 2.11), recognized the ministerial authority of the apostle and said: as salvation and the longsuffering of our Lord, even as our beloved brother Paul also wrote, according to the wisdom given to him, speaking of this, as in all his epistles, among which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, and also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. (2 Peter 3:15-16, KJV)

You speak like crazy, Edir Macedo!

Truly this is a post that you would not want to do, but these days I had a great sadness to see the leader of one of the largest churches in Brazil, Bishop Edir Macedo, not only defending abortion, but encouraging the practice. I am posting the video below. It is difficult to conceive the idea that a person who says "God" to think so. The most impressive of all is to see him support his opinion with Bible verse, distorting the passage from Ecclesiastes 6.3.
